Upon arrival, drive to Dinsho, the headquarters of Bale Mountains National Park (2-3 hours), home to rare wildlife and endemic species. The park is known for its scenic beauty and wildlife diversity, including Bale monkeys and the Ethiopian wolf. Settle into your lodge and prepare for an exciting day of wildlife exploration.

Today, explore the Sanetti Plateau, one of the highest and most scenic areas in the Bale Mountains, known for its endemic species like the Ethiopian wolf and highland birds. The plateau’s moorland and alpine ecosystems are home to a range of unique species, including the Giant Molerat and endemic birds such as the Blue-winged Goose. The stunning views and wildlife make this a perfect opportunity for nature photography. Capture the plateau's vast, open spaces, contrasting with the rugged peaks in the distance. Return to your lodge for the night.

Drive to Harena Forest, one of the most biodiverse areas in Ethiopia, located on the southeastern edge of the Bale Mountains (approximately 4-5 hours). This dense, tropical forest is home to a variety of mammals, including baboons, bushbucks, and a large variety of bird species. Harena is also rich in botanical diversity, with large trees and thick undergrowth that offer fantastic opportunities for close-up wildlife photography. After breakfast, drive north towards Awash National Park, located in Ethiopia's semi-arid lowlands (5-6 hours). This park is known for its hot springs, volcanic landscapes, and diverse wildlife, including buffaloes, giraffes, and waterbucks. The area is also home to numerous bird species, such as African Fish Eagles and Secretary Birds, making it a great place for wildlife and bird photography. Spend the afternoon in the park, capturing its unique landscapes and wildlife. Overnight in Awash.

Explore the Llala Plains and Alideghe areas of Awash National Park, which are known for their wide-open grasslands and rich wildlife. The plains are home to large herds of antelope, including Oryx and Grant’s gazelles, as well as predators such as cheetahs and hyenas. The area is also famous for its birdlife, with species like Bustards, Kori Bustards, and Peregrine Falcons. Spend the day photographing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitats, with dramatic sunsets over the plains. Return to your accommodation for the night.

After breakfast, drive back to Bale Goba (5-6 hours) and catch a flight back to Addis Ababa (1 hour). Upon arrival, you can enjoy a last bit of exploration in Addis, visiting local markets or enjoying a relaxing coffee at one of the city's famous cafés.
